Natives immigrants, residents and visitors
I have always found Prensky's terminology misleading as this research shows but in January I spoke with James Clay who is the ILT and Learning Resources Manager at Gloucestershire College. He said that the terms are now less often used and have instead been largely replaced with 'digital residents and visitors'. This is very well explained here (http://tinyurl.com/4hxvfe) so there is no need for me to repeat it. I think this works much better as a model and I would be surprised if it doesn't appear somewhere in the OU report.
