What does the word "generation" mean anyway?

I note this finding: "It shows that while those differences exist, they are not lined up on each side of any kind of well-defined discontinuity. The change is gradual, age group to age group." This simply indicates that it is the construct of "generation" that is flawed, not the "digital native" hypothesis as a description of behavior. In fact, one should expect a gradual change if the hypothesis is correct.
