Promethean logoThey might have floated on the London Stock Exchange in the middle of a recession but Promethean reported revenues up by 35 per cent and operating profit up by 42 per cent when it delivered its first set of half-year results to the city this week.

Jean-Yves Charlier, CEO of the Blackburn-based company, a leader in interactive whiteboard and whole-class technologies, said: “More than 90 per cent of our sales are now outside the UK, with North America continuing to be our lead market, accounting for some two-thirds of our sales and showing 33 per cent growth in the period.

"Demand for interactive learning technologies across the world also continues to increase, with continental Europe and the rest of the world growing by 61 and 84 per cent respectively.”
