Philips 'eco' screen offers savings for design work

27-inch Philips 273P3L LED monitorEco-conscious schools that would also like to save on their power bills will be interested in the new, high-quality 27-inch Philips 273P3L Professional LED monitors that switch off when they sense that a user is away from their design workstation.

These monitors combine PowerSensor technology that are said to be capable of cutting power costs by up to 80 per cent while providing high-quality graphics and ergonomics and mercury-free components for eco-friendly recycling and disposal.

The high-definition screen, which measures 23.5 x 13.2 inches, allows work on multiple documents side by side, and its SmartImage technology can sense which software is being used and adjusts display settings to suit.

It has been designed with ergonomics in mind and the special 'Super Ergo' base allows for height of the base to be adjusted by up to 11 cms. The base can be personalised to suit the user’s preferred sitting position. It pivots to 90 degrees and a tilt-and-swivel mechanism helps in finding an ideal viewing angle.

Connectivity includes HDMI, with three USB ports to allow simultaneous use of several plug and play devices – memory devices, cameras, external hard drives, web cameras.

The Philips 273P3L costs £332.50 ex VAT and is available through MMD business partners. For education project pricing contact MMD country manager Richard James – This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
